This is a photo from Gill and James’ small and perfectly formed city wedding.

I met this lovely couple a few years ago and we had a little engagement shoot together!

So it was awesome to be able to document their special day.

They did things a bit different to the norm and it was epic 🎉

They met me as a couple before the actual marriage ceremony.

We spent a fabulous 45 minutes wandering in the wintry sun around Derby.

Everyone wanted to wish them well and it was so cool having this time to take pics before their guests arrived.

Then we got them to the town hall and they walked each other down the aisle with their Neice and Nephew.

After the ceremony we took a few group shots and then walked en masse to a fab local restaurant @thewonkytable for some food and fizz.

I took a few more informal photos of everyone chatting and any impromptu speeches and then left them to enjoy the rest of their day.

Huge congratulations you two. Just doing the final tweaks to your full set 📸

Squashing in lots of chats and trying to finish edits 🤫 I know nearly there!

So chuffed that February has landed and I am sure I heard spring like chirping from the birds on my morning walk with the dog mcstuffins.

I am lucky to have lots of supportive female buddies and I’d struggle to know who to pick for my bridal party if I was getting married again! I’d want you allllll ⭐️

@grannysgardenco is in pole position this week.

Not only is she a fellow photographer who is extremely generous with her support, time and advice.

But this week she’s surpassed herself in super sympathetic listening ❤️😆😘 coping with my moaning 🙈 about the kids having covid!

Thanks for putting up with me @helenhowardphoto and sending crafts to keep them happy.

So glad we met….you can run but you can’t hide!
