Fresh Cops

I don’t like to blow my own trumpet, but this shoot was extra special because of the feedback I received from the BBC… They loved the images so much, they used them to highlight the show on iplayer resulting in extra exposure and more viewers than expected.

Bargain Hunt – Children in Need

A busy shoot with many moving parts.  Four different programmes being shot, huge crew, celebrities a demanding Pudsey and lots of filming to get in the can.  I worked alongside the team dipping in and out when moments arose and capturing all of the assets needed for the show and publicity.

Countryfile

Two days spent with the crew and talent.  Pressurised filming schedule working around winter storms.  The images I captured were used to secure a new commissioning deal to keep the programme within the BBC. They were also used for the 30 year anniversary celebrations in Press and Publicity.

Work with

Me…

Why me

With over 16 years’ experience directing documentaries for the BBC I am an expert at keeping you relaxed, scheduling the shoot like a demon and getting stunning shots of your set.

I have a unique combination of skills from careers in TV and Photography that makes me stand out as a photographer. I have produced images for the BBC, Country Life Magazine and countless websites and Social Media accounts.

In telly, I worked on a whole range of genres from Drama to High end Documentaries, Prime Time Fact Ents to teeny tiny budget Daytime. I’ve directed big names, produced as yet unknowns, worked with everyone from millionaires to bin men (and loved it!).

I know how to direct people – make them feel at ease and capture emotion. Trust me, I can chat to anyone and am a dab hand at making cast and crew feel comfortable.

I can also be relied upon to move quietly around set. My ‘behind the scenes style’ is documentary, unobtrusive and authentic. Having worked as a director and self-shooter on documentaries for many years, I know when to be ready and what moments are potentially coming… I have been told my people-reading skills are top notch.

I am used to working alongside your busy team to drop in and out and grab my opportunities as they arise.

I am dynamic (a bit of a Duracell bunny) and am constantly told by producers that I am ‘like a ninja’ moving unobtrusively.

I am not afraid to climb up high, or contort myself into small spaces.  I will muck in, become part of your team and do what I have to do and work in challenging conditions to get the shots needed!

I also love it when a team embraces me and we can work together on a concept and ‘look’ to ensure your publicity pics/specials do the job they need too. That we get more eyes on your programme or film and more bums on seats!

From my photography business, I constantly work on marketing ideas for companies. I know how to make striking images that will get your programme featured on iPlayer or picked up online.

If you want to know more – drop me a line and let’s have a chat!

Sounds interesting?

I’d love to hear all about your latest TV project and start planning the perfect shoot.
