I’ve never actually turned up to a shoot, or meeting for that matter, without clothes on – but I am an amazing procrastinator who always leaves getting ready until the very last minute.
But what happens when I do this?
Well I usually end up:
👕Grabbing whatever is clean and to hand
👚Not thinking about whether it is flattering or really works for the occasion
👗Ignoring anything that might need an iron or – worse still – wear it creased and wrinkly!
🙈Having a massive panic, hating everything and finally reaching for some old, comfy thing that I always wear!

I’ve noticed that this is a recurring theme with my clients too and decided to unpick this self sabotaging habit.
Why do we do it?
We do it because we don’t feel confident in our choices, our body shape, or our clothes!
Do we need to stop doing it?
Yes – because we are thwarting the chance to look fabulous and get this right.
How do we stop it?
Give yourself some time! As a fabulous, smart and determined business woman, you deserve to look and feel fabulous too.

Before a photoshoot, I send all of my clients a ‘what to wear guide’ which gives all kinds of hints and tips about your clothes, but this is the verbal advice I always give my clients:
⭐Go through your wardrobe a week or two beforehand to give yourself time
⭐Check your fave items are ironed
⭐Lay out some combinations on the bed
⭐Try outfits on and ask your partner/child/neighbour to take photos of you on their phone

If you are working with me and still stuck, send the pics to me and I’ll help you pick the best options!
I can also recommend a couple of ace stylists who I work with.
So, before you turn up naked to your photoshoot with me… throw open those wardrobe doors, sort through, plan, and give yourself the best chance of feeling amazing for your shoot!

You’re welcome – because as L’Oreal said – ‘You’re worth it’!
